Lazy Sunday Morning

Last night, there was such a violent thunderstorm that the flowers on my porch have gotten all shaken up. It’s Sunday and I wanted to go to San Telmo, but it was still sprinkling earlier. It may be starting to clear up now, but it’s still too early to be out. This is why I no longer make frenetic vacation plans. One day of rain can destroy it and then you get all dismayed and all that. You’re on vacation, why put yourself through that? People are stupid.

I made coffee, am lying on the couch with my feet up and watching Spanish-language CNN. I’m perfectly comfortable. I’ll head out in about an hour or two if the weather cooperates. If it doesn’t, Alto Palermo is only three blocks away. It opens at noon.

I shopped nearly all day yesterday with a brief break at the art museum. Rapsodia has some of the most gorgeous clothes I have ever seen. I didn’t think the opposite season thing would bother me as much as it has with the whole shopping thing. I just don’t like spending much on summer clothes. Philadelphia’s notoriously humid summers make having clothes that are more than just disposable, pointless. There are still a few end of season sales but not many and most things are badly picked over. I have yet to see many sweaters or cardigans which is what I’m planning to wear this coming season. Prune’s outlet had a lot of accessories but their stuff is much more hard-edged than I would like.

I love this place. Too bad I can’t find a way to work whilst still making US dollars. I’d be so gone. Gone.
