The House That Jobs Built
This is some concerning late-breaking news. I’m far from an alarmist, but I heard this nugget on CNN at the gym today and it made me clutch my iPod just a little more tightly on my way home in the cold of a January night. He built Apple. For all his perceived flaws and the flaws of the company he and Wozniack built in a California garage, the man is a visionary, a genius, someone whose hard-headed ways have brought a company given up for dead back from the brink.
I polish my iMac tonight and hope that somehow, Apple today can survive without him. Unfortunately, there is no other company built so closely and guarded so zealously by its founder and CEO. Guide it well, Tim Cook.
On another note, maybe I can finally afford Apple stock. They still have Jonathan Ive, right?
