Reactionary

I did it today. I just ordered a DeWalt power drill… and a book so I don’t get myself evicted from the condo for commiting a sin like messing up everyone’s toilet water. My goal for the year is to make me love the condo. I’ll have to do it inexpensively (as opposed to cheaply… cheap implies shoddy work, tools, looks etc) to save money for big ticket items like the old HVAC and someday a great fridge with the freezer on the bottom and a new range. But I need to paint and get myself to love living here. Right now I only like living here and like isn’t good enough. I bought it because it has great potential but it needs work though everything appears to be solid, perfect for a can-do, detail-obsessed, Ms. FixIt like me.

I have gathered all pamphles from Ikea, identified CB2 as a good place for midrange stuff and Modernica for lux items like the future new sofa. I need to solve my space issues and make the place another 100sf bigger by great planning. Painting will be as soon as the cold breaks. Where’s the tape measure?
