Suddenly Autumn
Just last week it was so warm, I could barely get away with wearing a denim jacket. Now, suddenly it’s like the weather looked at the calendar, gasped that it’s already November and decided to cool off in a hurry. We’ve skipped the best part of the fall, though, that burnished sun and sparkling blue skies. It’s gone from humid heat to leaden cold in days. The leaves will just die now rather than turning the dazzling colors they’re used to doing. There have been few crisp mornings and none of the comforting scent of drying vegetation. All of a sudden it’s the beginning of the winter and the holiday season. Just like that.
