“Who Killed the Electric Car?”

I just finished watching this documentary and I have something to say to GM:

I can hardly wait for you to go bankrupt, even if it would be disastrous for the economy. While many people are to blame, you’re the one I blame most for being able to do something and refusing. I wish the Japanese run you through like a samurai sword through warm butter. I wish they run you over five times and leave you as carrion at the side of the road and then sow your grave with quicklime. You’ve made your bed, now lie in it and have a pleasant sleep enveloped by the fumes of LA on a hot day. The refusal to develop vision is what’s killing American companies and your refusal to learn is just another page in the book.

Ride on, Toyota.

Thanks, oil companies and car companies and elected officials. Instead of backing technologies you know we need (and knowing is what makes your sins even worse), you’re running to the bank as fast as you can. Thanks for getting the troops stuck in a war they can’t win just to make you a few more pennies, so much good they’ll do you when your beachfront property is suddenly Atlantis territory and hurricanes screech at your front lawn in Kansas. Thanks. Thanks a lot. I’m sure there’s a circle in hell especially for you.

And finally, thank you, people of the United States. You’ve bought the hype, but then that’s what you do best, isn’t it?
