Flashlight For Safety

My friend from work is safety-conscious. I’m not. I’m the kind of person who walks around in a daze completely sure nothing will ever happen to me. I realise it’s stupid and hopefully, I’ll never have cause to regret it. But my friend from work is concerned that I’m so unconcerned and she’s even said she’ll buy me a flashlight for my birthday. She came up with that after my building’s power went out one morning and I almost had to find my way out in a darkened stairwell. I live in a city high rise. Good thing the power came back before I had to resort to that, but she as so scared when I told her the story and found it inconceivable I was flashlight-less.

Whether she remembers about the flashlight come the spring, maybe I should think about getting a flashlight. There’s a place online called a OpticsPlanet that has numerous flashlights for sale, huge, pro-looking ones that could light up the entire building in a pinch. I don’t think I’d need a huge one, maybe a midrange one that still gives good light. OpticsPlanet also gives you free UPS shipping for anything over $30, which is just about anything since they sell things a cut above the CVS Energizer brand plastic things.

I’m in the market now for a monitor calibration deive now, though, but in the midst of holiday season, whether I get a pricey streamlight or not, I’ll have to look into getting a light. Bad things happen. And they don’t wait for you to be done planning for them.
