Smitten

It sounds stupid, but it’s the actual word. I adored these shoes the moment I saw them. The problem is all sites I’ve checked don’t have them in the size, color, and model I want (this exact one, not the one like it). Nordstrom has the color and model, not the size. Macy’s doesn’t have them at all. Bloomingdales only has it in black. Zappos has them in colors the other stores don’t but NOT the blue. Argh! It’s not fair! I know I shouldn’t be spending $400 on a pair of shoes, but I don’t care. I would have bought these if they’d been available, even if they were about 1/2 inch too high for street wear, I don’t know what I’d wear them with, and they’re about $200 too expensive. I bought a pair of cheap black Bandolino’s instead. If buying an all-black shoe, there’s no point in spending a lot of money.

If you are not familiar with his shoes, you might investigate John Fluevog at . His may be a bit more fanciful than your dream shoe (shown), but give them a look. I buy the boy shoes, but I have a dear friend who is addicted to the girl ones. In fact, I’m going to head over to the site right now!

They’re a bit over the top for me, but thanks for the tip. Jacobs’ fall collection this year is just too perfect for words. I just can’t find the right color/size combo. Boo!
