It’s the End of an Era

Read it and weep… or not. I never liked FreeHand. It was too hard to use compared to Illustrator but seeing it die seems like some kind of portent. I don’t like things I know to end. It’s unsettling.

Laughing

PC World introduces The 25 Worst Tech Products of All Time.
I’m laughing.

Another Letter-Writing Campaign is in Order

This is disgusting. What makes them think they’re entitled to MORE money? I hate this. I hate big corporations… and the apathy of the public that allows think like this to happen. For all it’s worth, I’m writing them all.
Update:
So the question that begs to be asked is will the “Lost Experience” actually be an [...]

Giving Up On Wireless

I know. I’ve been doing a lot of giving up lately. What is it this time? Airport. More specifically, internet via Airport Express. I noticed earlier this week that I could no longer get my DSL connection via Airport though the network itself still functioned (I could stream to the stereo via AirTunes). I thought [...]

MacZot: I Give Up

The people at MacZOT are having a game where you answer questions throughout the day nad give yourself a chance to win prizes at a drawing at the end of the day. I’ve been trying to play it. At first, the questions were hard but you could find them on the web. Several have been [...]

More MacZOT Madness

Note: I like Pzizz though I rarely have time to nap. [...]

The MacBook

I went to go look at it yesterday, one of the few activities I’ve done this weekend, this a weekend being one I’ve said is going to be official Rest. There is no Apple Store in Center City, so I went to one of the local dealers to have a look. As with all Apple [...]

Why There Are No Nurses

My employer is refusing to pay for my vacation day, even though I requested it ahead of time and everything. They’re assuming I’m lying because I called in sick today (because I actually was). I love how much confidence they have in me. This is the first time ever that I have called in sick. [...]

An Ode to American Express

I knew charging everything would pay off. I’ve only had my Amex card for not-quite-3 years but I have to thank it for helping along with all my planning for New York City next week. Thanks to it and associated companies, I got 50% off my hotel nights, Rent tickets for nearly $50 off, and [...]

99 Cents

I know this is somewhat old news, but it’s such good news, I had to sneak it in.
If it had been anyone else, I’d almost feel sorry for them having to be in negotiations with Steve Jobs over anything, but since it’s the horrid record labels, I don’t care. It’s good for them (and [...]
