H2
A lot of work later, the layout is almost once again as I want it. I changed the header picture, figured out how to include a title in the php but made invisible in HTML, reordered the sidebar, reincluded the RSS link, reformated the byline, and brought back the calendar. The last thing I need to do is change the h2 tag used by the get links command so the link category names match the rest of the headers in the side bar. I went to Work Press’ online wiki, and it says the php command I’m using just displays the links as entered in the Links Manager but it formats the category names as h2s. I need to figure out what (besides the body class) controls that h2 tag. Maybe I can make it a different tag. I tried changing the links.php pages even if all formatting should be done in the themes, but even that didn’t work. I don’t want to sound stupid by posting to the online forums just yet. I don’t need another php command to change how the links are displayed, I’m happy with the default, I just need to find a way to control that h2 tag besides performing global changes on the blog.
Confusing? Another thing that keeps me from posting on tech forums besides the snobbery is I have a hard time explaining quite what I want. People always seem to misunderstand me and I get flamed to the next month.
