I Can’t Believe the News Today
I can’t close my eyes and make it go away
How long?
How long must we sing this song?
How long?
It may be due to my adolescent self-involvement that I never noticed this before, but it seems that lately, there has been a torrent of severe news, so much that I don’t remember things like this happening on another’s heels. And what did I do today? Went shopping. I did have a thought that if I weren’t born where and to whom I was born to when I was born, I’d be outdoors right now outside a ruined house or in a market somewhere in the aftermath of a bombing. I’m not wearing any wristbands or joining any campaigns, but I did think of it. I did.
P.S. To the people suing Apple because their iPod Nanos get scratched “too easily”: Use common sense and they wouldn’t have, you ignorant bastards. I didn’t use my Nano until I could get a case for it. Using it before then, you’re running the risk that something as big as a business card, highly polished, plastic, and metal will indeed scratch. I’m tired of people making their own problems someone else’s fault! Hey, my new shoes got dirty. Can I sue the designer?
