Tiny & Perfect

They came in today at my local Mac Specialist. They called my cellphone while I was at the coffee shop after work. I hurried down to 22nd Street just before 6PM and picked it up, my new iPod Nano. I haven’t succumbed to another iPod since my early adopter behavior of the original that came out in October 2001. But I had to go for this one. I know it’s overpriced, but the fact that I easily handed over $250 for a mere 4GB version gives lie to the complaint that they’re too expensive. If they really were too expensive, no one would buy one, including me. It’s overpriced in cents per MB. It’s amazingly small. It’s hot. And it’s perfect. It’s so lusciously perfect that you forget the price and the stories of battery problems. To task this weekend is to get another one of those one-of-a-kind ip wallets at the handbag store. I use one of the change purses as a case for my Razr. Made for product cases stink. Be creative. The iPod demands nothing less.

It’s name is Pan. (The senior’s name is Orpheus.)

P.S. I finally named my phone: Angelo.

Glad to find someone who is equally a Mac and a U2 nut as I am. Are you a Coldplay fan as well.
