Too Expensive?
I don’t understand the argument that a Mac costs too much and that’s why people choose not to get one. I was listening to a podcast (I don’t remember which one) in which a Mac guy tells of how he’d try to sell people Macs but they’d often go for the PC just because it was cheaper. I don’t understand that overly-frugal line of thinking. For something as important and valuable as a computer, why would you make it something you skimp on? You’d think it should be one of those things people would be willing to dig deeper for. I don’t understand why you’d go for something cheap when it holds and handles all kinds of information. If you’re going to be so cheap, don’t complain when the hunk of junk crashes.
But, whatever. Let the cheapos have their plastic abominations. I don’t want Apple’s Mac to step off its pedestal. I hope Steve doesn’t reach too far. Macs should be for people who care enough to afford them. If you can’t or won’t, tough.
