The Northside
The stage is up. I’m just after going up there to check it out. There are people already in the queue. They could have just been standing around but methinks they’re queued up already. It doesn’t bode well for us getting there later tomorrow. Forecast says rain and it looks like it’ll rain any minute today. Yesterday was in the 80’s and sunny. Who knew I’d miss my sunglasses in Dublin. Now I’m seeing a lot of people with telltale t-shirts. I think I saw some of the Freak Fringe. They’re the ones queued.
I keep hearing them everywhere, nonstop. It could be a marketing play on the parts of Dublin merchants, but they were playing them nonstop at the Bad Ass Cafe yesterday and “Mofo” was blaring at the Golden Discs on Grafton this morning. The HMV was playing Bomb and Joshua Tree today simultaneously. If unsuccessful with Saturday tickets, we’re planned to head out and watch hurling.
Still no word on cameras or wanding.
I plan on picking up the Hot Press today later on so I don’t have to tote it all day today. Over and out.

Rose! I’m SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!! Ahem. Sorry. I think if it were me the fact that they’re being played everywhere would be part of the appeal - the hometown vibe, right? I was just looking at setlists for the first time in awhile and I can’t believe what I’m seeing. Seriously, anything goes. Party Girl, Who’s Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses… That library sounds awesome. Anyway, keep us posted, glad you made it safe and everything!
