Coming Down

How do you do it? How do you come down after being so high and not trip in the process? I’m trying to handle it by creating other things to be excited about. It was kind of fun setting up the new cell phone today. I even used its camera and made an adorable wallpaper [...]

Rain… and I Don’t Mind

I have no words to describe it. I have no words in any one of three languages to verbalize that’s happened here. I’m shattered. Completely. I’ll have to write something longer for the TourDiary page. Maybe when my head’s back on. It’s overwhelming. Overwhelming.
It was overcast all day and it began to sprinkle once we [...]

Dublin in Rain

Rain. Yeah, rain, though not so much to keep the line small. It’s about 10AM and I hear via text message from a friend in line there are about 500 people there. Since it’s hard to estimate people amount by a glance, I’m being pessimistic and thinking there are many more. I don’t care [...]

The Northside

The stage is up. I’m just after going up there to check it out. There are people already in the queue. They could have just been standing around but methinks they’re queued up already. It doesn’t bode well for us getting there later tomorrow. Forecast says rain and it looks like it’ll rain any minute [...]

Greetings

Hey, guys. I am so tired from having gotten up at 430AM Tuesday, gone to work, ran home, cleaned, packed, bathed, gone to the airport, gotten on my flight, and then flown transatlantically. Good thing the kids on the plan must have gotten Valium or something because they were really quiet the whole way. Or [...]

Solstice

I’m supposed to get on a plane tomorrow and now I’m all panicky. No, I’m not afraid of flying or anything like that. I just get really anxious that I’ll forget everything, that the luggage will be too heavy, that I won’t take something I’ll need, that I’ll take too much. I’ve done a dry [...]

Croke or Bust

I know it sounds funny. Blame it on whoever named that stadium. Anyway, the explanation is, barring disaster, I’m off to Dublin this coming week for one of the Croke Park concerts. Yes, I’m beyond myself with glee. My apologies, Dubliners that one of your tickets is going to me. A Dubliner is giving it [...]

Dear Apple,

I realise it may have been disabled for rights reasons but why disable the soft-techie way to download videos from iTunes? Why? It took some know-how. It wasn’t like you guys were rolling out the red carpet to ripping things off the web. Safari’s “Activity” menu isn’t as useful as it used to be, either. [...]

I Hate Meddlers

Firstly, there’s tired and then there’s TIRED. I’m beyond tired today. I have no idea (well, maybe an inkling) why. The weather’s finally nice again and yet I can barely keep my eyes open and have no motivation whatsoever to enjoy any of nature’s gifts. I want to stay in and revel in 0’s and [...]

Dear Bono;

A small request. Please, please no more red sunglasses. I promise to shut up in my complaints about the sunglasses in general. I’ll stand by silently and accept that you’ve taken a liking to/ need them. I’ll stop complaining. Really… Just, please, please, please stop wearing the red ones or the totally black ones. Yellow’s [...]

4 Years Later

I finally get around to scanning in the 2001 pictures from the UK and the last U2 tour. What instigated this wonder? A %@^!&$(* heat wave, that’s what. And it’s barely June. It’s going to be a long, hot summer.
Here are the posted photographs. It took the weather to get me to work. Sheesh.

Gratuitous Link Preservation

I love when things I love randomly intersect. Like this off the cuff mention when talking about something else. This has happened a lot in AppleLand over the years. U2 songs appearing in screen captures of Apple multimedia software as an example etc. Oh, yeah, and what was dropped into the CD player this [...]
