Reactionary

It’s not like anyone will read it here, so I’ll just give it a dry run. With the exception of 2 pictures in the general galleries, all photographs in the U2Literary PictureBook are originals. Since neither I nor anyone else involved in taking them is either paid or seeks to be paid for the photographs, they are not public property. You (to the uncreative/ lazy/ unprincipled) may not take them off this website to pass off as your own, misrepresent them, alter them, crop them, stick your ugly website logo on them, and to add insult to injury, hotlink them off this website. Don’t be like this moron Matthew who I blogged about in the previous post. If you have nothing you created to post on the web, then you shouldn’t be posting anything.

What MAY you do with the pictures that does not provoke my ire? You may download as many as you wish and use them as desktop backgrounds and/ or screen savers on your personal computers at home. You may e-mail them to friends. You may send them as e-cards right from the PictureBook. If you’d like a larger scan or copy from us to do any of those things, ask and you’ll likely get it. You may post links to the album of your choice from your blog or website. I don’t require you to link only to the U2Literary homepage (though that may be easier in the long run as things have a way of shuffling around here). You MAY on occasion post a picture on your blog though you must cite you got it from here and which show it was. (Matthew has tried to pass off a Philly picture as a Chicago photograph, the wanker.) But you may not hotlink or upload to online image galleries like another Coppermine or Flickr.

I think that’s fairly clear. Those are rules I follow and I can’t understand why people can’t just respect other people’s work who they KNOW are not rich and famous. The laziness and apathy in this society is killing me. People are morons.
